She Runs A Good Race

mothering is a marathon

About Jessica

I love words. I always have. Since the 2nd grade when I declared I was going to be an “arthur” (author).

I also love God, my husband, my three darling kids, my girlfriends, and running. Sometimes just in that order, sometimes all out of order.

Mothering to me is like ongoing marathon-training. It requires a huge commitment, endurance and perseverance, with endorphin-highs along the way, as well as injuries and soreness. This has become most apparent to me in my role as a special needs mom to my son Ryan.

I love quotes, books and films, and now, blogs, that inspire me to become a better me.

To be better mom, wife, girlfriend, God-follower, runner, writer, and reader is a lifelong quest.

And I’m so in.

Oh, and I love coffee, early in the morning, when quiet moments stay quiet moments.

In those minutes I can think, pray, sip, journal, write…all before the joy and chaos of family life begins.
